Most people think that in a marriage, understanding and respect are the must-have factor to keep it going. Someone mentioned that freedom is also important. In a way, some may argue that marriage is the end of freedom because you are tied to each other and you will not have much time of your own, especially after you have kids. However, some people still manage to give each other space over well communication and compromise.

Of course, being faithful is definitely the key factor to the foundation of marriage. Without it, marriage collapse vulnerably as cheating will break the trust for a couple. Once trust is broken, it would be extremely hard to gain the same trust once again.
